10、odern military commander can learn from Hannibal. The first lesson I want to talk about is the importance of self-confidence and the ability to inspire confidence.Let me give you an example.Hannibal advanced from North Africa, and his objective was Rome. So,the logical course of action was to invade It

16、round and said,“Dont worry,Gisgo, theres one even more amazing thing the Romans dont haveand thats a man called Gisgo!”Now,you know, that story spread through Hannibals army and it got everyone laughing. So,with a sense of humour,Hannibal knew how to relax his men before the battle. The fifth lesson I w

17、ant to mention is Hannibals ability to maintain discipline, and a good example of this is the way he kept control over his cavalry. You know,in those days the cavalry often lacked discipline on the battlefield. But Hannibal kept really tight control over his troops during the Battle of Cannae and when

18、the cavalry engagement was over,Hannibals cavalry attacked the Roman infantry. Now,in those days, that kind of discipline was amazing. In a similar way,he showed the ability to delegate command, and this is our sixth lesson the importance of delegating command and students feel that leadership qualities
