22、e researchers designed a series of studies that could provide data on the impacts of a breadfruit-based diet fed to mice and also an enzyme (酶)digestion model. The researchers determined that breadfruit protein was found to be easier to digest than wheat protein in the enzyme digestion model. And mi

23、ce fed the breadfruit diet had a significantly higher growth rate and body weight than standard diet-fed mice. GAD2 helps control the amount of the neuro-transmitter(神经递质)GABA. In general, when more GABA is available, appetite is increased. For that reason, people who

42、have a form of GAD2 that allows more GABA to be available may be at risk for overeating. You can see that GAD2 is not directly an obesity gene. Rather it has an indirect influence on obesity through its direct influence on GABA. Genetic research holds out the promise of innovative solutions to obesi
