3、 (古董) and furniture (家具), items favored by young people like game accounts and equipment, mobile phones, and comic-related products are seen more often in secondhand selling.As the internet is largely used, the main source of secondhand sales has gradually shifted from offline flea markets to online

4、 platforms, such as Idle Fish and Deja Vu.Wang An is not only a buyer but also a seller at online platforms of secondhand goods. Through Idle Fish, an online flea market, she has earned about 20,000 yuan by reselling a treadmill (跑步机), a baby crib (婴儿床) and other stuff. “For me, trading secondhand p

5、roducts is a good option to deal with stuff that I no longer need,” she said to China Daily.Another popular platform is Deja Vu, which is aimed at bookselling. Huang Bilian, the store manager of Deja Vus Beijing outlet (分销店), told China Daily, “Through secondhand books trade, you can buy a book that

6、 someone else does not need for the time being. Once you finish reading, it can still be resold again. The book is circulated (循环) in this way and nothing is wasted during the process.”Secondhand shopping mode follows the advocacy (提倡) of a low-carbon lifestyle. The trading of secondhand goods can p

7、romote the efficient use of recyclable resources, thus helping the country to achieve its goals of reaching peak carbon emissions (碳达峰) and carbon neutrality (碳中和), noted China Daily.Compared to their parents, another purpose of youths trading secondhand items is to get a taste of things they dont h

8、ave. In modern times, young people are used to shared and rental (租赁的) practices. When they dont want to use the items anymore, they can sell and replace them with something new, said Guo Bing, product director of Idle Fish in an interview with CCTV.Moreover, the secondhand economy meets young peopl

17、(WWF).The London group provided information on 32,000 wildlife populations which included more than 5,000 species. The researchers found that population sizes had declined by 69 percent on average. They said the loss of forests, human exploitation(开发)of the environment, pollution, and climate change

18、 were great causes of the loss. Land-use change is still the biggest threat to wildlife. However, the researchers added, “if we cannot limit warming to 1.5C, climate change is likely to become the dominant cause of biodiversity loss in the coming years.”Wildlife populations in Latin American and the

19、 Caribbean Sea area were greatly affected. The research showed a 94 percent drop in those areas in over 50 years. Wildlife populations in river and lake habitats decreased the most. Freshwater populations have declined by an average of 83 percent since 1970. For example, one population of pink river

20、 dolphins in the Amazon River area of Brazil fell by 65 percent between 1994 and 2016. These findings are a red flag that warns of a larger system failure on the horizon. Even one species population decline can affect other species, eventually impacting the ecosystems ability to function. Humans dep

21、end on a stable climate, predictable weather patterns, and productive farmland and fisheries to thrive(蓬勃发展), but the current trends are severe enough to threaten many life-sustaining systems.Our future depends on reversing(扭转)the loss of nature just as much as it depends on addressing climate chang

22、e. And you cant solve one without solving the other. Everyone has a role in reversing these trends, from individuals to companies to governments.
