While-reading:(1) Show and explain the new words.(2) Language points:aloud, loud 和 loudly loud 指大声喊, 强调声音很大,通常用比较级 louder 于句子中。aloud 强调发出声音,出声,但并不代表声音大。而当 al

8、oud 修饰 laugh, talk, speak 等时, 就有声音大的意思了。loudly 声音大, 与 loud 同意义, 但 loudly 含有说话人对其讨厌之意, 声音大而使说话人不喜欢。although 与 though 的用法区别表示“虽然”, 两者一般可换用,只是 although 比 though 更为正式。although 一般不用作副词, 而 though 可用作副词, 且一般放在句末(不放在句首), 意为“可是”、“不过” ,在 even though(即使,纵然)等固定短语中不能用although。4still, already, yetstill 意为“仍然;还”,可

9、用于各种句式,一般位于句中。already 通常用于肯定句,用于疑问句表惊讶、怀疑语气。yet 意为“已经,尚未” ,用于疑问句和否定句。(3) Read the lesson and fill in the blanks.Brian, Jenny and Danny learned about poems and stories this week.
