2、e. These 2 characters in literature are all from folklore, so they often appear in generations of literature works. With the rapid development of media, zombies and vampires are more applied in movie, game and novel. As images from horror culture, they respectively represent Chinese and western cult

3、ure in horror literature. Although they are all imaginary characters in literature, but we can study culture diversity from the differences between zombies and vampires in China and western country. It is a very special and innovative perspective to research culture. Moreover, these 2 characters hav

4、e been deeper in peoples hearts, so it is very easy to make people understand culture differences cause from analysis on them. The significance of research: The different horror culture in China and western country, and zombie and vampire all have different images, they all have close relationship w

5、ith culture, religion and philosophy. They all have a development process, and they are treasure base on peoples rich imagination, so to some extent, image of zombies and vampires also highlight literature works. As a conclusion, analysis on differences between zombies and vampires in China and west

6、ern country not only broaden perspectives in studying culture diversity in China and western country, but also can provide more materials for literature creation.The content of thesis: This paper has five parts. Chapter 1 is about introduction of thesis; chapter 2 mainly introduces origin, legend an

It occurs with the origination of mankind and developed with the progress of society. A zombie is a fictional undead being created through the reanimation of a human corps

14、e. Zombies are most commonly found in horror and fantasy genre works. The term comes from Haitian folklore, where a zombie is a dead body reanimated through various methods, most commonly magic. Modern depictions of zombies do not necessarily involve magic but often invoke science fictional methods

15、such as carriers, radiation, mental diseases, vectors, viruses, scientific accidents, etc. A vampire is a being from folklore who subsists by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of the living. In European folklore, vampires were undead beings that often visited loved ones an

16、d caused mischief or deaths in the neighborhoods they inhabited when they were alive. They wore shrouds and were often described as bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance, markedly different from todays gaunt, pale vampire which dates from the early 19th century. Although vampiric entities have be

17、en recorded in most cultures, the term vampire was not popularized in the West until the early 18th century, after an influx of vampire superstition into Western Europe from areas where vampire legends were frequent, such as the Balkans and Eastern Europe, although local variants were also known by

18、different names, such as shtriga in Albania, vrykolakas in Greece and strigoi in Romania. This increased level of vampire superstition in Europe led to mass hysteria and in some cases resulted in corpses actually being staked and people being accused of vampirism.采取的主要技术路线或方法(1) Literature research
