Basically, type o

2、f film often have the same elements, the fixed pattern of narrative structure and roughly the same style characteristics in the context of the fast-paced era and easily accepted by the majority of the audience. Since the 1960s and 1970s, road movie in the United States was born and gradually develop

3、ed into a type of film in a major creative form which creates the United States “new Hollywood” golden age. The rapid development of the economy and the continuous improvement of peoples living standards promotes the advanced tools of the car comes into the ordinary family. Although the box office s

4、uffered a fiasco, but road movie creation brings into vitality. In recent years, with the accelerated process of social modernization in China, road movie has become the hottest movie type. People in the Embarrassing Way and TaiJiong will occupy the high point of the box office, showing the strong m

5、omentum of development. In general, compared to the west, Chinas road movie is still to explore the stage of development, and the future development of the road is still very long. Comparing with the Chinese and Western road movie and digging both in the creation of the theme, means and style simila

6、rities and differences can find one of the advanced experience and seek high-quality development of Chinas road movie an effective means.As a mass media, the movie plays an increasingly important role in peoples social and cultural life. It has become the main way of people to sort out emotions, sus

7、tenance and entertainment, and to show the characteristics of the times. Type of movie is in accordance with the previous works of similar forms, especially the western film, action film, comedy, etc. As a type of film, road movie is usually regarded as a movie story of the main place, showing a “on

8、 the road” attitude. Scholar Li Bin (2006) also mentioned that “with the development of modern society, the development of modern living space, the development of its own is a concept of space can be seen.”11 Road movies should be consumerism, economic mercerization at the beginning of its birth wit

9、h the typical characteristics of modernity. Shao Peiren and Fang Lingling (2012) wrote in Flow of the Landscape from the perspective of media geography under the geographical reproduction of road movies.13 They pointed out that road movie is the basic space background of the road, usually using esca

10、pe, wander or search as the theme, reflecting the heros suspicion of life or the longing for freedom and showing the modern society of people and geography, the complex relationship between people and inner world in consumer society. People brought a huge change at the same time and brought the alie

11、nation of human nature, road movies are often displayed by a kind of damage caused by alienation, and finally to cure and return to the pattern of Chinese and foreign road movie in the absence of focusing on what happened on the road and showing “starting - looking - redemption return” mentality.二、国

Research on American Road MoviesAccording to the American movie type subdivision method, road movies first appeared in the United States, which is also known as road movie. Road movie is mainly based on the road as a carrier to reflect life which is a

13、mature type of movie. Its development runs through the history of the movie, almost the epitome of social humanities and industrial development. Because of this, the West has now formed a fairly complete theoretical system on the road film research. The emergence of road movies is inseparable from t

14、he United States the most localized film type - Western movies. Western literature is the most direct source of Western movie nutrition. “On the road” model in the western American literature and Western movies were repeatedly used, which is because the movement and the journey is closely linked to

15、the historical particularity. Bazhan (2015) once held an opinion that the development of the western United States is a contemporary Odyssey epic.14 All the Western films are sparing no effort to sing the white people to the deserted into the creation of the great achievements.When this model was in

16、herited by the road movie, its spirit and theme have undergone a qualitative change with the development of the times. Homers epic, tramp literature, western literature and western movies were appeared in the industrial society and industrial civilization which closely linked to the car. In modern s

17、ociety, cars become a symbol of speed and passion, freedom and indulgence. It provides people with a chance to release the long-suppressed dreams of madness, so it is in this industrial background that the emergence of the American road movie booms.As a type of movie, road movie and the Western film

18、 are quite similar. Both are unique products of American culture and depict the exploration of the US frontier. The difference is that the background of the Western movie is started from the 19th century to the early 20th century, and the heroes of the horse riding over the vast grassland desert. Th

19、e movie emphasizes the process of victory between man and nature. Along the way there are all kinds of difficulties and obstacles, such as wolves, storms, snow and ice, mostly masters need to struggle to overcome the natural or brutal goals. The journey in the western movie is for the protagonist to

20、 complete a special purpose. Western literature, known as “pioneering spirit”, highlights the personal adventure. The journey is set to a large extent to show the western gorgeous and cruel natural environment. The background of the road movie is generally set in the twentieth century, and the vehic

21、le has become the main tool for adventure exploration. Due to the impact of modernism, road movie mostly reflects the inner feelings of the people in the incident encountered along with the landscape which mostly for their own lonely alienation footnote. The journey in the movie is mostly the protag

22、onists desire to find the self, and the journey itself is the purpose. The result is that the road leads them to nothing, and their ego is looking for the process gradually disappeared.In order to reflect this spirit of rebellion, character relation is very important. Road movie often uses two conve

23、ntional and unconventional characters that can be defined under social moral standards. Therefore, the two structures are a very important figure of the relationship between people and are the main structural points of road movies. These two characters are generally in the class and external style a

24、re set on a dramatic contrast. They are generally from a good educational background, has a good self-cultivation, and have a happy family or lovely lover with a sophisticated heart. The other is generally from the edge of the city, behave vulgar, mouth swearing or psychological flaws. They either h

25、ave been divorced or never married, they do not believe the marriage on the surface and even love, but the heart has a deep love. They seemingly uninhibited, but really kind-hearted. For all sorts of reasons the two most inappropriate people are very consistent with the screenwriter arranged in the

26、together, or active or passive to go to complete one thing and obtain a sense of success. In the process of the whole film, the two characters from the different character, the values pursued by the different circumstances of the specific attitude of the face of different contradictions and conflict

27、s until the end of the film.In summary, the biggest feature of the classic road movie is the full performance of the American culture in the industrialization, mechanization, cowboy spirit and the feeling of confusion. The representative of the film are Bonnie and Clyde, The End of Mad Flowers, Texa

28、s Paris, Natural Killer, California Killer and so on.2. Research on Chinese Road MoviesAccording to the geographical characteristics of the division, the Chinese road movie contains three components: the mainland road movie, Taiwan road movie, Hong Kong road movie. China is currently considered a to

29、tal of five kinds of road movies, each one has its own unique place. The first road film is Shi Runjius Go to the End. The film combines gangs, love, roads, black humor and many other elements. There are obvious imitation of the classical road movie traces. There are very simple, modern and traditio

30、nal town epitome of contemporary China.The movie tells the story of a fiction relying on the car for the sake of the driver who is on the road occasionally taking the windmill Molly. Going to the End is the groundbreaking first road movie. The style is more alternative, and even some people think th

31、at this movie can not be called a real road movie. Therefore, there is no widespread concern with limited impact after a few years the Chinese road movie hovered. This situation continued until 2006 from the beginning of the year, the number and quality of Chinese road movies have increased signific

32、antly and gradually attracted worldwide attention in the international movie festival.The director Zhang Yang directed the second road movie Leaves the Roots to obtain a commercial and artistic harvest. The movie was the best movie which is the 57th Berlin Film Festival independent film critic. This

33、 is a strong Chinese characteristics full of affectionate road movie showing the authentic bottom of the peoples living conditions. At the same time, with a strong type of black humor features, the use of this method will make the film break through a simple comedy or tragedy mode. With the deformat

34、ion and exaggeration of the individual experience and social oppression, behind the introduction of laughter is a deeper face of the suffering and reveal. In this movie, the expression of humor not only allows us to see the director of respect for life and broad-minded, but also let us feel the kind

35、 of life from the dignity and strong.The Fragrance of the Trip in English called The Road. The movie will be the heroine Chunfen who experienced by the three men as a clue through the form of road movies. Through a womans life reflecting the individual and the times, spiritual and flesh, utopian res

36、pect and digestion, personal freedom and power discourse in the historical changes in the ordinary peoples feelings and destiny inevitably tragic existence.Followed by director Han Jie directed debut Walking on the Wild Side in foreign countries frequently award. The movie won the Rotterdam Film Fes

37、tival Best Film Golden Tiger Award, the 30th Hong Kong International Film Festival Digital Competition Unit Best Film Silver Award, the 8th Taipei Film Festival competition unit, Italy Film Festival competition unit in 2006.At present, Chinas latest road movie director Cai Shangjuns Red Awn, the mov

38、ie won the Korean Busan Award and the 48th Thessaloniki Film Festival Best Film Gold Alexander Award. As a carrier of the whole movie development, it tells a cruel father and son- a 50-year-old father, throwing his wife and son to the city to make a living. And a seventeen-year-old son grows alone.
