Is there any cheese in the larder? 三、存在句的谓语动词三、存在句的谓语动词 存在句的谓语动词主语是动词be的某种形式，可以是限定形式，也可以是非限定形式。 1.be的限定形式：限定词可以是be的一般现在时、一般过去时、现在完成体或过去完成体。 eg：Theres a train due to arrive. There

5、have been many such accidents.也可以是表示预见、可能、必然或过去习惯存在的情态动词+不定式（包括完成体形式）。 eg：Therell be a huge crowd at the game,wont there?There used to be a church round the corner. 2.也可以是半助动词+不定式（很少用完成体形式）。 eg：Theres going to be a storm. 3.以上三类动词形式限定形式的主体。除be外，某些表示存在概念的不及物动词如exist、remain、happen、occur、come、arise、sta

6、nd、lie、live等。也可以用于there-存在句。 eg：There arose in his imagination visions of a world empire.如果地点主语前移可以省略there. eg：Behind the house (there) lies a river. 存在句的非限定形式存在句的非限定形式 存在句的非限定形式是there to be和there being (there having been)结构。 1.作介词补足成分作介词补足成分 两种结构都可以作介词补足成分。如果介词是for，便只能用there to be 结构。 eg：For there

7、to be so few people in the streets was unusual.(=It was unusual for there to be so few people in the streets.)也可以用在不及物动词for之后： eg：They planned for there to be another meeting. 如果介词不是如果介词不是for，则用，则用there being结构结构 eg：John was relying on there being another opportunity. 2. 作宾语作宾语 作宾语时，常用there to be 结构
