I thought, “This is wrong; it cant be!” But the reality was that I had thyroid cancer and had to fight and succeed in the end.My parents came home with the devastating news and they were heartbroken. That was when it all started- one blood test after another, a pa

5、inful biopsy, many other scans and X-rays.Unfortunately the doctors were never able to find the cause of this disease occurring among young kids. All they said was that “we need to take her thyroid out before its too late.”On August 2nd, 2007, around 10 am the surgery was done and the doctors were a

6、ble to remove my thyroid gland. I woke up and saw all these tubes attached to my throat and nose. The next couple of days were too painful filled with just more blood tests. Success as I achieved, I still bear the scar on my neck, a reminder of what I have been through. I am not saying this for any
