8、ing harpsichord lessons.Theboys reputation as a musical talent grew fast.At five,he was composing music.Form that time on,Mozart was performing nrts and writing music.By hisarly teens,he had mastered the piano,violinand harpsichord,and was writing symphonies and operas.His first major opera was perf

21、he song“Happy Birthday to You“Began as a sweet one,but later became bitter.Twosisters,Mildred Hill,a teacher at a kindergarten,and Dr.Patty Hill,the principal of the sameschool,wrote a song together for the children,entitled“Good Morning to All”.When Mildredcombined her musical talents with her sist

22、ers knowledge in the area of kindergarten education,Good Morning to All“was sure to be a success.The sister published the song in a collectionentitled Song Stories of the Kindergarten in 1893.Thirty-one years later,after Dr.Patty Hillbecame the head of the Department of Kindergarten Education at Col

23、umbia Universitys TeachersCollege,a gentleman by the name Robert Coleman published the song,without the sisterspermission.He added a second part,which is the familiar“Happy Birthday to You”.Mr.Colemans addition of the second part made the song popular and,finally,the sisters“original firstpart disap
