1、Unit 1 A land of di vers ity 教学设计(Per iod 1 Prev iewi ng)【教学目标分析】 教学目标本课时主要是通过学生对学案所给出的内容的学习,了解本课文中所出现的 词汇,初步了解课文以及相关的背景知识,为下一堂课对课文的全面理解起到一 个铺垫作用。 教学地位本单元主要围绕具有多元化的美国这一主题展开,其中重点介绍了加利福尼 亚的多元文化特征。本单元有助于培养学生跨文化交际意识,进一步拓宽视野, 为终身学习奠定良好基础。【教学方案设计】 新课导入建议可以利用教材P1的“热身(Warming up)”局部的一幅美国地图启发学生运 用已有的知识,以看图填充

2、形式引导学生对美国的整个地理位置有个全面的认 识,同时有助于学生弄清加利福尼亚在美国所处的位置、美国西部的山脉、五大 湖、最长河流及主要城市等。让学生通过英文释义得出具体地名后填图,有利于 培养学生用英语思维的能力。 教学流程设计导入新课。学生阅读“美文阅读”与“诱思导学”。学生就“话题美文导读”进行讨论,统一答案。学生再次阅读课文(课本第1 3页)并完成“语篇理解”。师生共同讨论并统一答案。让学生快速阅读课文(见课本第1 3页),并完成“篇章结构”。学生共同讨论,并让学生发表各自见解,最后统一答案。学生再次仔细阅读课文(课本第1 3页),进行深度理解,并完成“课文缩写”。老师指导学生讨论,共
