2、 bridges,pagodas,and meticulously designedgardens,which has become a great tourist attraction.Suzhou has also been an important center for Chinassilkindustry since theSong Dynasty(960-1279),and continues to hold that prominent position today.It is part of theGolden Triangleregion.The GDP per capita

4、筑苏州园林是指中国苏州城内的园林建筑，以私家园林为主，起始于春秋时期的吴国建都姑苏时（公元前514年），形成于五代，成熟于宋代，兴旺于明代，鼎盛于清代。到清末苏州已有各色园林一百七十多处，现保存完整的有六十多处，对外开放的园林有十九处。占地面积不大，但以意境见长，以独具匠心的艺术手法在有限的空间内点缀安排，移步换景，变化无穷。1997年，苏州古典园林作为中国园林的代表被列入世界遗产名录。是中华园林文化的翘楚和骄傲。沧浪亭、狮子林、拙政园、留园分别代表着宋（公元9481264年）、元（公元12711368年）、明（公元13691644年）、清（公元16441911年）四个朝代的艺术风格，被称为“

5、苏州四大名园”。The Surging Wave Pavilion沧浪亭沧浪亭 Celebrated for the delights of the wilderness of mountain and forest scenery,the Surging Wave Pavilionis the oldest among the existing classical gardens ofSuzhou.On the whole the present garden of the Surging Wave Pavilion still keeps the style of the Song.It

6、features a range of man-made mountains inside the garden and waterscapes outside.Proceeding past the pure expanse of water over a zigzag bridge of stone and through the entrance,one comes to the garden and catches sight of man-made mountain covered with age-old trees and bamboo,running from east to

7、west.The Surging Wave Pavilion in the shape of a square stands at the top of the mountain and has a parallel couplet from the Song poets on the stone pillars to heighten artistic conception.Most of the garden buildings,simple and plain,were rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty,carefully arranged around the m

8、ountains and connected by a long roofed walkway.The Lion Forrest Garden 狮子林狮子林 One of the four great gardens of Suzhou and is admired for the incredible collection of pitted,eroded rocks that were greatly appreciated by classical Chinese scholars.It was originally part of a Buddhist monastery.The ga

13、ing the reign of Emperor Zhengde(1506-1521),the site was occupied by Dahong Temple.At that time,a censor named Wang Xianchen appropriated the temple and converted it into a private villa,but the Wang family could not maintain the garden and sold it a few years later.In the coming centuries the garde

14、n repeatedly changed hands and was reconstructed many times,so the garden we see today is far removed from the one enjoyed by Wang Xianchen.The Lingering Garden 留留 园园The Lingering Garden,one of the four most famous gardens in China,occupies an area of 23,310 square meters.Like other famous gardens,t

15、he Lingering Garden seeks to create stunning natural landscapes within limited spaceAccording to the style of the buildings,the garden can generally be divided into four parts:the central,eastern,western and northern parts.Of the four parts,the central part is the essence of the whole complex.This p

16、art was the original Lingering Garden while the other three were added during the Qing DynastyTiger hill With a history of more than 2,500 years,the Huqiu has been known as No.1 Sight of Suzhou.It is a must for tourists.The great Song literary man Su Dongpo said,It would be a pity if you had been to

17、 Suzhou but didnt get to visit the Huqiu.As a showcase of Suzhou and one of the first ten exemplary civilized tourist attractions of China,it receives over 1,500,000 Chinese and foreign tourists every year,and has taken over the lead in the tourism industry of Suzhou for ten years running.Hanshan Te

18、mple Hanshan Templeis located in the town of Fengqiao(Maple Bridge)in the west outskirts of Suzhou,only one kilometer west of the Lingering Garden.During the Tang Dynasty(618-907),a famous monk named Hanshan stayed in the temple,which was later renamed by his name.The temple was once one of the 10 m
