3、d，on earth，at all等介词短语可以表达更强的语气（常用于疑问句):Where in the world could he be？他到底会在哪儿？What on earth is it？它究竟是什么？Do you know at all？你到底知不知道？4用感叹句来表示强烈的感情，突出说话人的情感：见感叹句How interesting a story it is！这是一个多么有趣的故事啊！Oh，what a lie！啊，真是弥天大谎！5.用重复来表示强调：Why！why！The cage is empty！啊！啊！箱子是空的。They walked for miles and m

4、iles他们走了好多英里。6用倒装句（也就是将要强调的句子或被强调的部分置于句首）来加强语气：On the table were some flowers桌上摆着一些花。（强调地点）Many a time have I climbed that hill我多次翻过那座山。Only in this way can we solve this problem只有这样，我们才能解决这个问题。强调句型强调句型强调强调主语，宾语和状语 It is/was+强调部分强调部分+that/who/whom+其他成分其他成分如果被强调的成分是表示人的词，用如果被强调的成分是表示人的词，用who或或that来连接

9、r tomorrow?（强调特殊疑问词how）3.从句的强调：（1）I came home late because it was raining hard.(强调原因状语从句)It was because it was raining hard that I came home late (2)What you said really made us sad.It was what you said that really made us sad.(强调主语从句)4.not until 结构的强调：结构的强调：We did not get off the bus until it stopp

10、ed.It was not until it stopped that we got off the bus.(注意：强调该结构时not until不能分开)She didnt remember her appointment with the doctor until she had arrived home.It was not until she had arrived home that she remembered her appointment with the doctor.Not until she had arrived home did she remember her a

11、ppointment with the doctor.5.强调时间状语和地点状语时与定语从句的区别：（1）It was in 1921 that our Party was founded.(强调句式)强调的是。？（2）It was 1921 when our Party was founded.(定语从句)即：强调时间或地点时有介词置于其前时，则连接词用that。其前面应有介词而被省去时，则用连接词when（时间）或where(地点)。又如：(3)It was on the farm that we practised planting crops.(4)It was the farm wh

12、ere we learned a lot.但是应注意，有些表示时间或地点的词汇及短语本身不需要在其前面加介词，故其连词也只能是that,而不是when或where。再如：(5)It was yesterday that we chatted a lot on line.(6)It was there that Mike was drowned yesterday.如果去掉it is/was.that句子仍然通顺成立，则为强调句型E.g.It was three years ago that he went to American for a further study去掉It was that句子为Three years ago he went to America for a further study句子通顺，意思完整，那么，这就是一个强调句型。
