1、The SAMR model,developed by Dr Ruben Puentedura,is a framework which can assist educators in designing teaching and learning using digitaltools at four levels:Substitution,Augmentation,Modification and Redefinition.Understanding the model and the different levels is critical to the success of implem
2、enting a blended learning or flipped classroom approach.How does the SAMR Model work?To integrate technology successfully and deliver the greatest educational benefit to students,educators need to bring about changes in their practiceto move from Enhancement(Substitution and Augmentation)to Transfor
3、mation(Modification and Redefinition).For example:SubstitutionInstead of reading an article on paper,students read it in PDF format on their computer,tablet or smartphone.AugmentationStudents play video and audio embedded in the article,click on hyperlinks to learn more about key terms used,and use
4、an app to annotate orbookmark parts of the text for future reference.ModificationStudents use a collaborative tool,such as a wiki,to create their own article which includes multimedia content.They give and receive peerfeedback using the comments tool.RedefinitionStudents use a web conferencing tool,
