6、n of green packaging double connotation, pure natural, pollution-free and traditional ethnic style.The definition and classification of natural packaging materials The meaning of natural packaging materialsNatural packaging materials are leaves, stems, bars, leather, fiber of botany an danimals skin
7、, hair and so on, which are processed or used directly. Some natural materials, such as shell, bamboo, wood, willow, straw and linen weaving and so on, which not only doesnt cause environmental pollution, but also be full of natural atmosphere, and give us a freshness to return to nature. 19、en packaging materialsWe can see the use of different types of packaging materials with different proportion in different regions and countries from the analysis of materials. Table 3-1 is the statistical results of use of packaging materials in different countries in1980s. From the table we can kno
20、w, the main part of packaging materials are paper and paperboard (including transport boxes and folding carton), followed by the plastic, metal, glass and other materials. Compared with other materials, paper, and wood materials are green packaging materials .The proportion of wood packaging materia
21、ls is relatively smaller may be due to deforestation, destruction of the environment. The green packaging materials refer to packaging materials which have no harm to the ecological environments and human health They can be recycled in the development and production of use and recovery, saving resources, protecting environment. There are mainly the follow
24、ing aspects of function: easy recycling, cyclical multiplexing, resources renewing; easily degradable, not polluting environment; saving materials and energy; not polluting the atmosphere when compounds; material degrading and so on 3.They include green plastic packaging materials, paper packaging m
25、aterials and so on.The natural packing materials mentioned above are part of the green packaging materials, which have the characteristics of green packaging materials, extremely easily decompose in natural environments, being free from pollution of the ecological environments, resources renewable,
26、and cost-effective. In all ages, the use of natural packing materials is very extensive, weaving packaging such as bamboo baskets which have been used as instruments so far. The baskets are weaved with toughness and strong bamboo, which can be easily preserved. Chinese ancient ceramics processes hav
27、e been famous in the world, which received peoples love with its low price and high quality.In the 21st century, the production and marketing of green products become mainstream, even green packaging materials are widely spread. Adopting finished products made of natural packaging materials not only
28、 protects the environments, but also becomes a kind of fashion. Agricultural waste such as wheat grass, corn straw, sorghum straw, bagasse, sunflower stem has turned from waste to profits, remitting the increasingly serious white pollution. The current production process is relatively mature, the ma
29、jor products are: Firstly, one-time food containers: hot tableware ; cold tableware ; supermarket fresh tray. Secondly, controllable degradation containers: fast food bowl, transplanting basin, miniascape basin. Thirdly, crafts and daily necessities;Fourthly, industrial packaging board, the whole tr
30、ay. After the use of these kinds of tableware, they still can be used secondary utilization. After recovery they can be directly used as feed for pigs, chickens, ducks and other, they can also be buried in the ground of rapid degradation, fully meeting the garbage is derived from natural non-polluti

32、kaging design, applying the green design concept. The green design concept contains taking good care of ecological environmental protection consciousness, the consciousness of human oneself health safety, sustainable development thought, natural, comfortable, simple, and so on. It starts from enviro
33、nmental protection, having an important effect on the survival of mankind. The green design is not only about science and technology, but also is the change of idea. The green packaging design must comply with the following principles 4.500Mechanical Properties and Structural MaterialsFirstly, packa
34、ging simplified. Try to reduce the use of materials in packaging design such as the function, consumables and printing process as far as possible, designing packaging tructure reasonably, avoiding complexity and superposition of packing structure that waste materials. Secondly, using traditional nat
35、ural packaging materials. The traditional packaging materials and packaging ways such as the gourd keeping wine in folk, bamboo tube filled with cooked rice, straw packing eggs, are both scientific and environmentally friendly. They can package and protect goods, also these natural materials have pe
36、rmeability, not easy for bacterial breed, extending the shelf life of food. Our ancestors have use existing materials in the packaging for along time, which can save energy and benefit to the environment.Thirdly, recycling of design in green packaging. The design of green packaging should baseon the
37、 principle to maximize the use of packaging materials and energy, making the minimum of environment pollution. National style explorationDue to the different natural conditions and social conditions, each country and nationality, formed distinctive national cultures in the language, moral, thinking,
38、 values, aesthetics. Infusing the national characteristic into the packaging design is the embodiment of the national character, and is one of the direct ways that the consumer obtain the national aesthetic recognition of. The reason why bamboo baskets, ceramics we mentioned above are very popular i
39、s that they possess the national characteristics of green packaging design. We should carry forward the fine traditions of our ancestors, bearing up modern packaging design. The author considers that, we should excavate the characteristics of the natural materials packaging into the packaging design
40、. In addition to bamboo baskets, ceramic above, there are still straw basket, silk hemp rope externally packing. Only if we give full play to the advantages of the original natural materials, making packaging fullof rich traditions of breath, can it cause the resonance of the consumers, so as to hav
41、e a more lasting vitality.ConclusionThe material in packaging design is an instrument that convey emotion, because established material contains specific emotional and psychological feeling. Natural packing materials are purely natural material in the past, present and future, having the characteris
42、tic of unsophisticated, unique, environmental protection, nationality, etc. This is the other packaging materials cant match. Infusing the characteristics of these materials into the green packaging design, not only does it strengthen the concept of environmental protection and green conception, but
