7、lesforsomeofthesecompanies,suchasTesla,(whichdrewfiercebacklashoveritshandlingofaconsumerscomplaints).TheproblemforsomeotherforeigncompaniessuchasH&Maremuchmoreserious.InH&Mscase,bybanningcottonfromChinasXinjiangregionatthebehestofforeignpoliticians,thecompanywasnotonlyignorantoftheshiftintheChinese
8、marketbutalsoarrogantenoughtothink(thatitcandisrespectChineseconsumersandkeepmakingmoneyinChina).UnderstandingthemarketandconsumersshouldbethetoppriorityofanysuccessfulbusinessnotonlyinChinabutaroundtheworld.Abidingbythelawsandregulationsandrespectingconsumersrightsandvaluesshouldalsobethemostimport
