1、-吕梁丈夫翻译-第 2 页原文孔子观于吕梁，悬水四十仞，流沫三拾里，鼋鼍鱼鳖之所不能游也。见一丈夫游之，以为有苦而欲死者也，使弟子并流而承之。数百步而出，被发行歌，而游于塘下。孔子从而问之，曰：“吕梁悬水四十仞流沫三拾里，鼋鼍鱼鳖之所不能游，向吾见子蹈之，以为有苦而欲死者，使弟子并流而承之。子出而被发行歌。吾以子为鬼也，察子则人也。蹈水有道乎？”曰：“亡，吾无道。吾始乎故，长乎性，成乎命。与齐俱入，与汩偕出，从水之道而不为私焉。此吾所以蹈之也。”孔子曰：“何谓始乎故，长乎性，成乎命也？”曰：“吾生于陵而安于陵，故也；长于水而安与水，性也；不知吾所以然而然，命也。”译文孔子在吕梁山游览,看见瀑布

2、有几十丈高,流水的泡沫溅出三十里,鼋鼍鱼鳖也不能游动,却看见一个男人在那里游泳,以为他是因痛苦而想自杀的人,便叫弟子顺着水流去救他.谁知这个人游了几百步又出来了,披着头发唱着歌,在塘埂下漫步.孔子赶上去问他说:吕梁瀑布有几十丈高,流水的泡沫溅出三十里,鼋鼍鱼鳖也不能游动,刚才我看见你在水里面游,以为是有痛苦而想自杀的人,便叫弟子顺着水流去救你.你出来后披着头发,一面走一面唱歌,我以为你是鬼怪.但仔细看你,仍然是人.请问游泳有道术吗 那人说:没有,我没有什么道术.我从这里的水的流势起步,顺着水有本性起伏,不知不觉就成功了.与漩涡一起进入水流的中心,与涌出的流水一起浮出水面,顺从水的流动方向而不另

3、出已见,这就是我游泳的方法.孔子问:什么叫从这里的条件起步,顺着水的本性成长,不知不觉就成功了？ 那人说:我生在山区就安心住在山上,这就是从这里的条件起步;长在水边就安心住在水边,这就是顺着水的本性成长;不知道我为什么会成功却成功了,这就是不知不觉的成功.Confucius once made a visit to Luliang. Just follow the trend of current not to make my own way. Thats why I could swim.”Confucius asked, “Whats your meaning by Just live on the basic conditi

7、ons of here and grow up making use of the advantage, so that I get successful unconsciously?”The man answered, “If I was born in the mountain areas, I feel relieved settling in the mountain areas. Thats living on the basic conditions of here? If I was born by the waterside, I feel at ease when I settle by the waterside. Thats growing up making use of the advantage? I dont know why I am successful, yet I do succeed. Thats fate. ”
