The film stars a panda named Po (voice of

3、Jack Black), who is so fat he canbarely get out of bed. He works for his father, Mr. Ping (James Hong) in anoodle shop, which features Pings legendary Secret Ingredient. How Ping,apparently a stork or other billed member of the avian family, fathered a pandais a mystery, not least to Po, but then th

4、e movie is filled with a wide varietyof creatures who dont much seem to notice their differences. They live in the beautiful Valley of Peace with an ancient temple toweringoverhead, up zillions of steps, which the pudgy Po can barely climb. But climbthem he does, dragging a noodle wagon, because all

5、 the people of the valley havegathered up there to witness the choosing of the Dragon Warrior, who will engagethe dreaded Tai Lung (Ian McShane) in kung-fu combat. Five contenders have beenselected, the Furious Five: Monkey (Jackie Chan), Tigress (Angelina Jolie),Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu

6、) and Crane (David Cross). Tigress lookslike she might be able to do some serious damage, but the others are less thanimpressive. Mantis in particular seems to weigh about an ounce, tops. All fivehave been trained (for nearly forever, I gather) by the wise Shifu, who withDustin Hoffmans voice is one

7、 of the more dimensional characters in a story thatdoesnt give the others a lot of depth. Anyway, its up to the temple masterOogway (Randall Duk Kim), an ancient turtle, to make the final selection, and hechooses - yes, he chooses the hapless and pudgy Po. The story then becomes essentially a series

8、 of action sequences, somewhatundermined by the fact that the combatants seem unable to be hurt, even if theyfall from dizzying heights and crack stones open with their heads. Theres ane-tended combat with Tai Lung on a disintegrating suspension bridge (havent weseen that before?), hand-to-hand-to-t

9、ail combat with Po and Tai Lung, andupstaging everything, an energetic competition over a single dumpling. Kung Fu Panda is not one of the great recent animated films. The story isway too predictable, and truth to tell, Po himself didnt overwhelm me with hischarisma. But its elegantly drawn, the act

10、ion sequences are packed with energy,and its short enough that older viewers will be forgiving. The main actor Don Cheadle isnot handsome but just an ordinary man. You probably will even not recognize himwhen you happen to meet him on the street.

12、He acted a hero based on a truestory, a man who was as simple as he is, Paul Rusesabagina. Paul is a hero, areal man, while a hero and a real man doesnt always need to be handsome orattractive in the appearance. There are two nations in Rwanda, hutu and tutsi.Paul is a hutu manager working for a 4 s

13、tars hotel on town. The hutu army planeda genocidal to clear out all the tutsi people in ruwanda. The tutsi people weresuffering a madness blood bath. Over 800,000 people had been killed within 100days. Paul has a tutsi wife, in order to protect his wife, children and othertutsis; he took them to hi

14、de in the hotel Rwanda. There are many white peoplefrom all over the world lived in this hotel so the hotel is the safest place inRwanda to hide. There are 80 UN soldiers in Rwanda but only 4 guarded in thehotel and all of them are not allowed to shot. If we say that Paul just wantedto save his wife

15、 at the beginning, after recognized that there is no one wouldcome to help the tutsis, Paul throw himself into the breach. He bribed the hutugeneral by wine and gold, used out every coin of his to purchase the refugeeslives, ten, a hundred, 2 hundreds, 3 hundreds more and more tutsi refugees fleeto

Granted, he achieves this only because he doesnt have the brains to thinkotherwise and actually have e-pectations, but so many of our problems arebecause we do have higher intellect and desires, which ironically makes usunhappy because we know what we are missing. We love our cats and dogs for thesame simplicity and always being in the moment. Theres a line in the movie wondering if everything is predestined orhappens randomly or its a combination of both.
