25、1919-1999，英国牛津大学第一位中文系学士，中国香港翻译家协会荣誉会长、英国中国研究会终生会员。戴乃迭对中国现代文学的译介，起到了最为关键的作用，鲁迅、郭沫若等等一大批现代文学家作品，都是被戴乃迭译成英文版，推向世界。戴乃迭在20世纪40年代来华，和杨宪益结婚，而后终老于中国。 n霍氏才华横溢，浪漫天纵，他的译本富有创造性，灵光闪现，翻译过程中加入自己的文艺创作，让人印象深刻，但疏于严谨；戴氏有女性之缜密细腻，恪守翻译本分，一丝不苟，优雅大方，但灵动稍逊。所以，红楼梦的两大英译全本，也是英国牛津大学中文系的才子和才女的比拼，有着男性和女性各自的风格与魅力，所以说，两大译本各有千秋，地位同等，不分伯仲。16 结束语结束语
