22、hunks)butwearestillanywayexperiencingmanybottlenecksandarefrustratedinthesoftwaredevelopmentbecausewecannotusemanyoftheexhistingVisiontoolsthatarelimitedto2GB.AndofcourseVISION/IMAQlibrariescannothandleimageprocessingwhenimageinformationisdistributedintodifferentimagesandthereforewehadtowriteourownl

23、ibraries(evenforimageviewing)soastohandletheimagesproperly.Furthermore,despitetheTIFFformatislimitedto4GB(not2GB)itsrelativelyeasytosplittheimagefileintoseparateTIFFfileswhileitsnoteasytohandleorprocessimagedatainseparatechunksorchannels.Furthermoretherearealsootherimageformatsthatallowsforverylarge
