10、培养他们的语感有重要的作用。Task 4 Work in group of 8 to deal with the key words，phrases and sentences.教师把学生分为8人一组，学生通过合作探究找出大屏幕上的重点句子，并学习。the key words，phrases and sentences：1.Stay calm as the earth begins to shake and move.当大地开始摇晃和移动时保持镇静。stay calm保持镇静。stay此处为系动词，意为“保持的状态”。calm形容词，“平静的；镇静的”，用在stay后作表语。2. An ear

11、thquake is dangerous，but there are things you can do to protect yourself. 地震很危险，但也有一些措施可以保护你自己。本句中的to do不定式作目的状语。3. You need to have something strong around you to protect you from falling objects. 你需要周围有结实的东西以避免下落的物体伤着你。something strong结实的东西。形容词修饰不定代词要后置。object名词，“物体”，failing objects下落的物体。4.Stay aw

12、ay from buildings and trees.远离建筑物和树。stay away from远离。5. If you are close to the sea，try to get as far away from the water as possible. 如果你离大海很近，尽可能地远离水。as.as possible尽可能，相当于as.as sb. can。6. Your chances of survival in an earthquake go up if you stay calm. 如果你保持镇静，在地震中逃生的机会就会增多。survival名词，“生存”，其动词是su
